My children have been born in NHS hospitals, my wife’s life has been saved there. I have been treated for a few minor conditions myself. Friends and family members have worked in the NHS some for over 30 years. I can honestly say the NHS adds more value to British society than anything, including the police and education. The doctors push the government for better facilities and the government push the doctors to improve efficiency. That is how balance of standards are maintained.
Lol that Hannan guy saw fit to take digs at socialism, completely oblivious to the fact it rescued his banking city chums from disaster.
Oh dear, you’ve got me mixed up pal. I am an avid follower and fan of Toy Benn. I meant the other English guy who they interviewed who opposed the NHS. It’s simply because he is rich and can afford private health care obviously.
I love Benn, binstig. He’s a real person, unlike many of the rest it would seem.
Excuse me but you obviously do not have a clue. Benn has always been one of the loudest voices out there who has stuck up for the poorest and most disadvantaged in our country. You cannot just say “who is this guy” then make assumptions about him! Without the NHS I would not be able to afford health care and I know that any tax rises are worth it.
Tony Benn is the greatest living Englishman. I am British probably in the top 10% or earners and paid £309 which was deducted from my salary last month.
I am proud of the fact that the money goes towards looking after the elderly and sick of my country.
God bless Tony Benn and the many doctors who prefer to look after their patients rather than live rich and luxurious lifestyles like many doctors in the US.
Hannan is basically a liar who is probably thinking about the value of his shares.
Who is this guy? What’s his incentive? And who is paying him to say these things?
All he knows, is that if the NHS was to change into a private/ health insurance based service, then he and his family would be o.k. They would be o.k for one reason, this being that he is rich and middle class. Unfortunately, the high majority of people here cannot boast to be as fortunate as him.
America believes in a sentiment of “pull the ladder up jack and sod the rest”, as do most politicians here in Britain
NHS Rocks that guy was an idiot

If the EU parliament’s good for something it’s good for getting rid of these weirdoes.
