my parents aren’t contributing a dime toward my education either
and it made my senior year in high school very stressful
be very careful when filing out your FAFSA
ask for help from counselors or academic advisors to get loans
if not you can always fill out an appeal once you get your financial aid award

Firstly, make sure your parents do their taxes early so you can apply for financial aid. Apply to a myriad of scholarships. Do whatever you can to avoid taking out a loan(though if you must, go for a government one with low/steady intrest) Your going to have to skimp on junk food and the movies. Healthy food is usually cheaper anyway. Makeup and clothes are going to have to take a back seat to your education. There are plenty of fun things to do at home with a few friends that won’t break the bank. Check out this post. It will help you get a head start. Good luck!
