I (and a lot of other people) don’t think of tax increases as hell on hearth, provided said tax dollars are spent on important matters like our health.

Yeah, I’m really not comfortable with our country being so far in debt, already. If it wasn’t for these so-called stimulus bills, I wouldn’t feel as concerned about this recent proposal. And with videos like this showing how wonderful the universal health care system is, and the other side saying what a nightmare it is…it’s hard to know who to believe. I’d like to hear what some of the real people in these countries have to say about this.

The AMA is the devil!! The AMA’s FIRST priority, indeed the reason the association was created, was to preserve the status and wealth of Doctors, and not just status in terms of income and earning power, but the amount a DR. earns over say, a plumber or police officer. In universal systems, the government regulates and puts a limit on the amount Doctors can charge (and get paid) for services provided. Meaning that Dr’s can no longer charge whatever they want for services.

Hillary Clinton became the second largest recipient in the Senate of health care industry contributions.

“As she runs for re-election to the Senate from New York this year and lays the groundwork for a possible presidential bid in 2008, Mrs. Clinton is receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from doctors, hospitals, drug manufacturers and insurers. Nationwide, she is the No. 2 recipient of donations from the industry, trailing only Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, a member of the Republican leadership.”

Yes, hospitals are “for profit”, but what the hell is tax revenue to our government? Does anyone believe that once the government has yet ANOTHER EXPENSIVE project-in this case millions and millions of individuals’ health care, that our taxes aren’t going to go up drastically? Give me a flippin break. Why fix something that isn’t broke? How about making legislation stopping the TRIAL LAWYERS? That would lower health costs over time… you think Hill doesn’t see dollar signs in all this?
