My advice would be to avoid payday loans if at all possible, and to try and find some other source for borrowing fuds. Credit cards are good for one-time things such as this, but you may not have any. Payday loan places charge huge amounts of interest, and sometimes people get into a hole of debt this way that they have difficulty paying back. Check the interest rate on any payday loan program that you might find. Gift giving for Christmas is a wonderful thing, but not at the expense of excessive interest rates!

I STRONGLY recommend finding another venue.

I live in a military town and there are payday loan centers all over the place.
The problem with them is they charge outlandish interest rates, along the lines of 600% to 800%.

They aren’t banks, credit unions, or savings and loans, so the government doesn’t regulate them. [They don't have savings accounts, which is where the federal government would et involved]

Several places have outlawed these payday loan centers or put restrictions on them.

So again, I would strongly recommend against using them.
