I’ve often wondered why the cops don’t go with a STI, or an EVO. It gives them 4 doors, the acceleration of the charger, and amazing agility.

Not realistic. They call for other police units and you are unable to out-run the police radio. The typical driver doesn’t have the kind of driving skill, doubtful the typical driver has that kind of driving skill compared to a cop. The cop is attempting to pull the Miata over with expired plates… don’t you think they already run your plates before attempting to stop you? The cop would have the plates and grab the owner at home if all else failed.

miata is perfect weight distrobution and it’s more agile than the charger. put em on the highway or actual open roads, the miata has no chance. that tiny track does not do the charger justice.

That is complete bull! i have a 95 miata with a turbo and i have gottin out of my fair share of pursuits from bikes and cars. A miata is light and fast if you know who to drive one and not slide the ass end out like the ass did in this video
While I agree that a Supra and a RX-7 can indeed run 8’s in the quarter. I would like to see the Supra or RX-7 break 220 mph without exploding first.

Can someone explain to me why that Miaita which barely breaks runs a mid 15 in the quarter is outrunning a Charger which runs high 13s in the quarter on the straights? The Charger should have caught up with that car before it even hit the first turn. This video is garbage…
