The health care plan being considered in Congress right now simply would prevent insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions and mandate that everybody be covered, or more people than are covered now. The plan is very much right-wing

A tax break is not the only way to relieve a business of burden. Let’s face facts: tax breaks have negative far-reaching tong-term consequences. Tort reform isn’t going to solve anything. All “tort reform” will due is crack down on a patient’s right to seek restitution for poor medical care.

If a business no longer has to provide its employees with health coverage (no company WANTS to do that anyway. That’s why we’re talking about health care in the first place), that business is relieved.

Absolutely false. Tax breaks for businesses allow them to hire more people, which get them off the tax-payer funded dole and into the market, spending money.

Wouldn’t it also then be a relief on business if they didn’t have to PAY their employees? (or would that finally be enough fascism to disgust you?) Good health plans are a perk employers use to attract talent, not a burden. If they don’t want to, they don’t.

Mandating that everybody do anything is not right wing. That’s the left’s sick fantasy for a US turning away from the intent of it’s founding.

It’s easy to see the true intent of this thing, as more effective -bipartisan alternatives that explicitly forbid gov’t control are excoriated by the far left media. Then they blame Limbaugh of all people, who only influences the party in the minority, whose support they don’t need!

Hawii tried State-run healthcare and it did not work. People paying ins. companies switched to cheaper state coverage. Ins. companies were going out of business and the state could not afford all those who signed up. This plan was revoked after 7 months. If it will not work on the state level, why would it work on the national level?

The only problem, 0bama says, is that we are not starting from scratch. So, as 0bama says, it will take 10 – 20 years to get to his single payer plan. That is the time it will take to dissolve all of the insurance companies and have the government run another failed system.

That’s bull. It didn’t take England ten to twenty years to switch over to single payer, which works very well there by the way. It also works well in France and Canada and even Cuba. If Cuba can do it America certainely can too.
