The only two ways consumer spending can increase is if employers increase wages or banks issue more consumer credit. All this bailout money has increased bank deposits so banks are dying to extend consumers more credit despite the recent history of bad lending standards. THIS is what will lead to inflation in the near future and the subsequent depression will be worse than ever.

Actually, I DO understand the DEFINITION of Laissez-Faire Capitalism and the minute someone uses force, fraud, theft or bribery of a public official to obtain favors or get a law passed that favors one person over another, that person has LEFT the realm of Capitalism and is now functioning in a MIXED economy. A mixture of government and UN-free market. You should read Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal by Ayn Rand or Capitalism and Freedom by Milton Friedman. Profit is great when earned legally.
